Dr. Jeffrey Luftig
These materials are derived from materials created by Dr. Jeffrey Luftig, one of the first people Dr. W. Edwards Deming hired to begin the American quality revolution at Ford Motor Company in the early 80's. Dr. Luftig started his own consulting firm in 1985 and consulted at numerous companies including Ford, ALCOA, Anheuser-Busch, Earthgrains, Molex, Inland Steel, and many others. During this time, Dr. Luftig and his consultants honed the materials to provide their clients training that had real-life applications with a strong technical base. He now holds the W. Edwards Deming Professor of Management endowed chair at the Engineering Management Program at the University of Colorado.Steven Ouellette
Your instructor is Steven Ouellette, BSMT, MSEng, and president of The ROI Alliance, LLC. He has been in the process design and improvement since 1992, both as an engineer and later as a consultant working for Dr. Luftig in many different industries. He received a Black Belt from Motorola University and a Master Black Belt from Luftig & Warren International. In addition to his duties as President of The ROI Alliance, he is a professor and Director of the Center for Business Performance Improvement at the University of Colorado, and serves on the Orion Registrar Committee to Safeguard Impartiality. He has a real talent for making what can seem obscure easy to understand, and for showing his students the real-life applications of these tools.
